A set of the LACI brand belongs to a model of the Boeing 757-200 narrow-body airliner in 1:144 scale in the variant with Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4 engines. With it you will build the model in landing configuration, that is, with the high-lift devices of the wing extended. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for a plastic kit: the corresponding parts of the pieces are cut out and replaced by the parts from the set.
The Boeing 757 was created as the successor to the successful 727 line and combined a narrow fuselage with powerful engines and a large, aerodynamically advanced wing. The result was an aircraft with outstanding climb performance, popular on routes with short runways and at airports at high altitudes. The RB211-535E4 was the most widespread British powerplant of the line and powered the machines of a number of large European and American carriers. The nacelle of the Rolls-Royce engine has a different shape from the American alternative, so the choice of variant decides the fidelity of the model. On approach, extensive high-lift devices extend from the wing and markedly change the look of the aircraft.
Mark the line for the cut precisely and cut with a margin, after which you refine the surface with a file. Try the assembly dry for as long as it takes to sit without pressure, and watch the symmetry of both halves of the wing by looking from the front as well as from above. Glue the small parts with cyanoacrylate glue in small drops. Extended flaps reveal surfaces that can no longer be sprayed once glued, so paint them in advance. With airliners it comes in handy to work with a gloss surface under the decals, because on a smooth surface any transition is clearly visible.
