General Electric CF6-80E engines with the reverser open for the Airbus A330 in 1:144 scale make up an add-on set that shows the roll-out after touchdown on the model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set is not an aircraft kit but a replacement for the engine nacelles of a model of the Airbus A330. Its special feature is the open thrust reverser: the rear section of the nacelle is slid back and uncovers the cascades through which the airflow is aimed forward. That puts the model into a clearly readable situation, the moment after touchdown when the aircraft is braking. On a display shelf it works as action, not just as a shape.
The Airbus A330 is a twin-engine wide-body aircraft that customers ordered with three powerplants. The CF6-80E1 version from General Electric was created directly for this type and flew on nothing else, so the pairing of airframe and engine is unambiguous in this case. On large turbofan engines the thrust reverser works through a sliding rear section of the nacelle with cascade vanes; it is used mainly on shorter and wet runways where the brakes are not enough.
An open reverser means you can see into the nacelle, and that changes the painting sequence. Spray the inner surfaces and the vanes before you close the assembly or attach it to the pylon. The cascades have a fine structure that a thick coat of paint easily drowns, so spray thinly and rather in two passes. The metal parts look good over a dark base with a light gradation of shades, because an even silver surface looks flat. Dry-fit the joint of the nacelle and the pylon first and make up any gap rather than flooding it with glue.
