A resin detail set from the manufacturer Quickboost for 1:48 scale. It contains imitations of the protective engine intake covers (so-called FOD covers), which on real aircraft are fitted on the ground against foreign objects entering the engine. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for models of the F-35A Lightning II in this scale.
FOD is the abbreviation for Foreign Object Damage. Intake covers give a model the look of an aircraft parked on the ramp and at the same time neatly hide the inside of the duct, which when closed up need not be worked out in detail.
For modelers who want to show a model in the ground configuration on the ramp.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
