Masks for the landing gear bays of a model of the McDonnell F-4 Phantom II fighter in 1:72 scale. The kit is not included.
Responsibility details are not available.
The McDonnell F-4 Phantom II is an American two-seat supersonic fighter. It was created for carrier service with the US Navy, was later taken over by the US Air Force and the Marine Corps as well and served in dozens of countries. It was built in a long series of versions, so the machines differ from one another in equipment and in details of the airframe. That is exactly why it pays to compare the shapes of accessories for Phantom models with the particular kit.
Masks for the landing gear bays of a model in 1:72 scale. The parts are prepared in their finished shape; they are laid in place and define the boundary between the inside of the bay and the outer color. On the Phantom the bays are extensive and intricate, so masking by hand with tape takes a great deal of time and the edge tends to be uneven. The name does not say which version or which kit the masks are cut for, so check that in the manufacturer's instructions.
Wash and degrease the surface. Apply the mask before spraying and press the edges down carefully, so that paint cannot flow under them. Spray several thin coats instead of one heavy one and lift the mask off as soon as the coat has set. Choose the shade of the inside of the bays according to the references for the machine you are building; it differs between versions and operators.
The aircraft kit, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
