Keating Purple Pearl from Number Five

A pearl purple tone derived from the Ford GT with which the American Keating Motorsports team started in the class for amateur crews at the twenty-four hours of Le Mans in 2019. The car crossed the line first in its category but lost the result after the race because of a technical irregularity. In a field full of red, blue and white machines the purple was immediately unmissable and is among the best remembered liveries of recent years.

What pearl in the name means

Pearl paints hold, alongside a color pigment, particles that refract and reflect light. The tone therefore has no single fixed value and shifts with the angle of view between a deep purple and a cooler cast.
