Enkei NT03RR rims in 1:24 scale bring a racing-tuned Japanese design of light wheels into a car model build.
Responsibility details are not available.
A wheel set for finishing a sporting car off in the usual car-modeling scale. It serves to swap the original wheels from the box for a more striking version, thanks to which a model gains the character of a particular tuning or racing modification. It is not a kit of a car but an accessory in its own right for a part-built model.
Enkei is a Japanese maker of light wheels with a strong trace in motorsport - its rims appear on circuit specials and on production sporting cars alike. The NT03 line is among the best-known designs of the brand, and the form designated NT03RR grows out of it in a more racing-minded guise. Visually it is an open spoke pattern with pronounced gaps, which let the brake system behind the wheels stand out. It is exactly this look that is the reason modelers reach for it on Japanese sporting cars of the 1990s and on newer kits alike.
The shades the brand is associated with suit this type of rim: matte and glossy silver, anthracite, bronze and gold. The most work is saved by spraying the whole rim with paint in one step and then bringing the inner surfaces out with a dark shade that can be wiped off, which runs into the shadows between the spokes and gives an impression of depth. The outer lip can be separated with masking tape and filled in with a polished metal shade.
The item rounds out another build and does not replace a complete model of a car.
