Wheels of the BBS Mahle pattern in the form for a fourteen-inch diameter, completed with tires, in 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
BBS is a German manufacturer of wheels whose patterns appear on road and racing cars and are as much a recognizable mark on them as the shape of the lights. The designation Mahle in the name specifies the particular pattern from this circle. A fourteen-inch diameter moves the set toward period cars rather than to a modern form, so it suits builds of older automobiles.
Wheels in 1:24 scale and tires to go with them. The figure in inches relates to the real car: fourteen inches is 355.6 mm, which in 1:24 scale works out to a rim diameter of just under fifteen millimeters.
Put the wheel together dry and try it in its place before you reach for the glue. Parts that are not of polystyrene are joined with cyanoacrylate glue; solvent cement for plastic has no effect on them. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder down. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Spray the rim separately from the tire, as the transition between them is the most visible thing on a finished wheel, and a dark gray shade becomes the tire rather than a pure black.
For builders of automobile models in 1:24 scale who want to give a car its period look back or to replace the simplified wheels from a kit. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
