The BMW M3 of the E30 generation was created in the second half of the 1980s as the sporting version of the 3 series intended for touring car racing. It differed from the ordinary sedan in widened fenders, differently shaped rear pillars and a prominent rear wing, so you can tell it even without a livery. In circuit racing it was among the most successful touring cars of its day and several works and private teams raced it, among them the Italian Bigazzi Racing with the livery of its main sponsor.
The set holds markings for the livery of the car in 1:24 scale, that is the sponsor lettering, the race designations and the body additions of the racing version. The decals suit cases where you want to build a particular racing machine and the sheet in the kit either does not offer such a version or is damaged and yellowed. The model the sheet goes onto has to be chosen by scale and by the shape of the body.
Prepare the surface carefully: let the paint mature and go over it with gloss varnish, because on a matte surface the edges of the film stay visible under a decal. Trim the individual parts as close to the artwork as possible, so that as little of the carrier layer as possible is left. Settle the large areas with a decal softener so that the film sits down over the pressed detail and the edges, and squeeze the excess water out with a soft cloth from the center to the edges. Let the sheet dry thoroughly and only then go over the whole car with a final coat of varnish. The particular directions are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
For builders of touring racing cars of the 1980s and for anyone who wants a livery on a model that is not to be found in a kit. The model, the paints, the glue and the varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
