Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary Toyota Sprinter Trueno coupe, known by its internal code AE86, in 1:24 scale. The manufacturer is the Japanese company Aoshima, which has long had Japanese coupes of the 1980s in its program. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted and is built by the classic process of gluing, filling and spraying.
The Sprinter Trueno of the AE86 generation was built from 1983 to 1987 and was the last model of the range with rear-wheel drive before Toyota moved its compact class to front-wheel drive. The car was powered by the 1.6-liter 4A-GE inline four with twin camshafts in the head and sixteen valves. The strengths of the subject were its low weight, balanced chassis behavior and willingness to let the rear axle slide, which made the AE86 an icon of Japanese mountain roads and of the later drift scene. The sister model, the Corolla Levin, differed from the Trueno mainly in the treatment of the front end and the headlights.
Two-tone schemes with a dividing line along the sides are typical of this subject, so it pays to mask with good modeling tape and to spray from the lighter shade to the darker one. The retractable headlights and their covers are among the most conspicuous features of the body, so pay attention to their fit and to clean gaps. The interior is brought to life by matte upholstery shades and a fine accent on the dashboard. Leave the wheels and tires until the end so that they are not clogged with paint during the final spraying.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
