This set was prepared by the Alpha Model brand as a cast kit. The shape of the body is already finished in the casting, so you do not fight with the parting planes of an injection mold and get straight on to sanding, filling and varnishing. Photo-etched accessories, clear moldings for the windows and the lights, rubber tires and decals are usually included.
Ferrari presented the 812 Competizione in 2021 as a sharpened and numerically limited offshoot of the 812 range. The longitudinally mounted naturally aspirated twelve-cylinder at the front, of 6.5 liters, turns over nine thousand rpm and sends more than eight hundred horsepower to the rear axle. Vents cut through the hood, the rear window was replaced by an aluminum panel with pressings and the aerodynamics are tuned by a pronounced diffuser. The steering is supplemented by rear-wheel steering.
Rid the castings of the greasy film left by the mold, otherwise neither filler primer nor varnish will hold. Once the gates have been cut off, go over the surfaces against the light, fill any small bubbles with putty and sand them down again. A deep red finish first needs a covering white or pink base, otherwise it looks muddy. The final gloss is drawn out with clear varnish and polishing with fine compounds only once it has dried completely.
In the box you will find unassembled and unpainted parts; a finished coupe will come out of them only after your work.
