A brake system for the Ferrari F12 in 1:24 scale from Hobby Design for the Fujimi kit combines resin castings with photo-etched metal.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set replaces the brake system in the Ferrari F12 kit from Fujimi in 1:24 scale and combines resin with photo-etched metal for the job. It is not a kit of the car but an add-on set. Besides the brakes, the name also gives a lowered suspension setup, that is the option in which the body sits closer to the road.
The Ferrari F12berlinetta is a two-seat coupe with a naturally aspirated V12 mounted at the front behind the axle; it joined the brand's range in 2012 as the successor to the 599. Its chassis includes large discs that fill almost the entire inside of the wheel, so on a scale model this part in particular leaves a strong mark on the overall impression.
The photo-etched parts have a profile that injection-molded plastic cannot imitate; bend them over a metal rule and hold them with tweezers. Dose the cyanoacrylate glue in spots with a toothpick, otherwise the excess will be drawn out onto a visible surface. Clear the castings of their greasy film in advance by rinsing them in warm water. A disc looks convincing in a graphite tone with a light metallic rub around its circumference, while a caliper looks best in a contrasting shade.
