This set of the Hobby Design brand rounds out a build of the open Honda S2000. It is not the car itself but parts meant to give the areas that in a basic build tend to be only suggested a sharper shape and a finer drawing. The anniversary form differs from the ordinary one mainly in the details of the interior and the surface elements, so it is exactly there that work like this makes the most sense. The parts are shaped for the Tamiya kit 24245, which has to be obtained separately.
The Honda S2000 is a two-seat roadster with the engine at the front and drive to the rear wheels, built from 1999. It went down in history for its high-revving F20C four-cylinder with a redline around nine thousand revolutions and a six-speed transmission with a very short shift throw. For the twentieth anniversary of the model an anniversary form with accessories of its own appeared in 2019, which brought attention back to the car.
Leave the small parts on the sprue gate until painting; they are easier to hold and will not disappear from the bench. The interior of a roadster is entirely in view with the roof down, so it pays to grade the shades of the upholstery and the plastics and to go over the edges with drybrushing. The metal parts stand out under a semi-matte varnish. If you are building the car with the roof folded, treat it with a matte paint with a fine texture.
