The representative Japanese sedan Nissan Cedric/Gloria 430 Turbo in the form of a plastic kit for 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The subject is a large Japanese sedan that was sold under two names side by side: as the Cedric and as the Gloria. The difference was commercial, not technical, and the 430 designation belongs to the generation built from the end of the 1970s. The Turbo tag in the name refers to the version with the turbocharged engine.
Cars of this class were built for customers who wanted plenty of room, quiet running and plenty of chrome. The body has the typically angular proportions of its time, a long hood and massive bumpers. The turbocharger was only beginning to make its way onto the Japanese market back then, and the 430 series was among the pioneers of forced induction in series production; in its day that was a strong technical argument.
The large flat panels of the body give away every irregularity, so it is worth spending time on sanding and on an even primer coat. The chrome window frames and the trim strips contrast sharply with the paint, so good masking tape or careful tracing with silver paint comes in handy. The glazed interior is worth finishing, including the upholstery of the seats.
The parts arrive without paint and unglued; the modeling supplies needed are bought separately.
