A plastic kit (1:24) of the Japanese Nissan R390 GT1 racing car from the manufacturer Tamiya. The model faithfully captures the aerodynamic body with all its vents and intakes and the characteristic tail, and the rear engine cover is removable and reveals the power unit. In the box you will find a detailed engine bay, a well worked out interior and chassis underside, along with rubber tires and a decal sheet for several race numbers.
The Nissan R390 GT1 was created in the late 1990s as a GT1 class racing special for the famous Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race. It was powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 mounted behind the driver, and its low, long body was optimized for high speeds on the long straights. The car represented the peak of the effort by the Nissan brand in the era of GT1 prototypes.
It pays to take the body to a deep gloss: after spraying the color, apply a gloss clear coat, settle the sponsor decals onto a smooth base and clear-coat over them so that they merge with the surface. Finish the engine bay and the interior before closing the body up. Use liquid cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush; bring out the chrome and metal details with metallic shades.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
