A kit of the Nissan Silvia (S110) HT 2000ZSE-X hardtop coupe in the early version of 1979, 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the third-generation Silvia coupe in the 2000ZSE-X level from the first year of production. The model adds to the assortment of Japanese cars to which Hasegawa devotes itself in its automotive program.
The Silvia with the code S110 was introduced in 1979 and, against its rounder predecessors, went for the angular, wedge-shaped silhouette typical of the decade then arriving. The hardtop body lacked a fixed pillar between the side windows, so that once they were lowered a continuous view through the side opened up. The 2000ZSE-X level was among the richly equipped variants with a two-liter inline four-cylinder. The early version differs from the later ones in details of the front and rear ends, which makes it a more interesting piece for a collector.
An angular body forgives little, so sand and polish the parting lines, otherwise you will see them under the paint. The window frames on a hardtop are narrow and it pays to use masks or cut tape on them. The interior of coupes of the day tends to be strongly colored and it suits the model. The chassis only needs unifying with a dark shade and lightly bringing out with a dry brush.
The delivery consists of plastic parts, and the gluing, sanding and painting remain up to the modeler.
