An injection-molded plastic kit of the Nissan Y30 generation prestige Japanese sedan, which was sold under the names Cedric and Gloria at the same time. The model from the Japanese maker Aoshima captures the four-door hardtop in the top Brougham VIP pattern of 1983. Aoshima reissues these subjects, so other releases of close patterns of the same car may exist. Tell them apart by the model year, the body version and the designation of the equipment.
The Cedric and the Gloria of the Y30 generation are sister models differing mainly in the details of the grille, the badges and the equipment. The 4HT designation refers to the four-door hardtop, that is a body without a fixed pillar between the side windows, which is typical of Japanese prestige cars of that time. The V30E abbreviation relates to the three-liter V6 engine, which set this generation apart from the older inline units. The Brougham VIP pattern represented the highest equipment grade, with richer upholstery and chromed items. Cars of this type are to this day a staple of the Japanese tuning scene focused on prestige sedans.
