An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale by the Japanese brand Aoshima. The subject is the Nissan Cima with the type designation Y33, in the form corresponding to 1996.
In the structure of the Nissan range the Cima was a luxury sedan placed at the top of the model line, that is above the ordinary large sedans of the marque. The generation with the Y33 designation was introduced in 1996 and was built until the start of the new millennium. It offered a roomy body with an emphasized rear end, generous interior equipment and large-capacity engines, including an eight-cylinder. The car aimed at the home Japanese market and was not commonly sold in Europe, which makes it all the more interesting a subject for modelers: you will not meet it at every turn at shows.
The large flat sides of the sedan are uncompromising toward the finish, so use a filler primer, fine sanding and an airbrush in thin coats. Dark metallic shades or a pearl suit luxury cars; the pigment settles in the paint, so mix the paint thoroughly and spray the metallic last, because it is hard to varnish over and to mask. Bring out the chrome trim around the windows and the bumpers with the metallized parts, a chrome marker or a fine brush. Do the interior in two tones and finish it before the body is closed up. Apply the decals onto a glossy base with a softener.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
