A wheel set for the Peugeot 205 GTI in 1:24 scale: fifteen-inch Speedline rims and Michelin MXV tires. Intended for Heller kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Peugeot 205 GTI is one of the cars that founded the reputation of small fast hatchbacks in the 1980s. It was light, short and lively, and part of its looks were the lightweight Speedline wheels fifteen inches across, which were fitted to the stronger version of the model. They were matched with period radial Michelin MXV tires. On a car model the wheels make up a conspicuous area and settle the impression of the whole car sooner than the shade of the paint does.
Speedline rims and Michelin MXV tires in 1:24 scale. Fifteen inches corresponds in this scale to a rim about sixteen millimeters across. According to the name the set is intended for kits from the Heller brand, so the hub dimension and the width of the wheel match their model.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the mating surfaces flat so that the car stands level on all its wheels. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, and choose the glue according to the material, with super glue serving as the all-round option. The rim looks better in a light silver shade with a faint dark wash between the spokes, while the tire looks better in dark gray than in black. Try the wheels on the axles dry so that they stand vertical and the car does not settle on only three of them.
For builders of civilian cars of the 1980s in 1:24 scale. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
