The 1:24 scale is the standard for car models, so a finished model fits in well among the other cars in a collection. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the exact contents of the package, the number of parts and the extent of the decals are given in the instructions in the box.
The Renault 5 Turbo followed the shape of the ordinary small hatchback, but in design terms it was an entirely different car. The turbocharged engine moved to the middle of the car behind the seats and drove the rear wheels, and markedly widened fenders and intake openings in the sides corresponded to that. The car came about for the sake of homologation for competition use and became one of the icons of European rally sport at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s.
On car models the quality of the paintwork decides everything. Wash the body free of the remains of the mold release agent first, sand the parting lines back and spray it over with a primer. Lay the paint on in several thin coats, polish it once dry and seal it with a gloss varnish. Build the interior and the chassis separately, so that the body is not damaged. Leave the chrome-plated parts until last and glue them with super glue in a minimal amount, or with a cement for canopies, which leaves no milky film. Apply the decals onto a perfectly glossy surface and use a decal softener, so that they settle onto the shaped areas.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
