An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary Renault R8 Gordini in 1:24 scale from the French manufacturer Heller. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted and offers a finely rendered engine. The set contains waterslide decals that make it possible to build the car in two period competition finishes. The interior, the chassis and the characteristic small body of the rear-engined sedan are worked out; the finished model measures around sixteen centimeters.
The R8 Gordini came about as a sporting version of the popular rear-engined Renault R8, introduced in the middle of the 1960s. It became famous for the blue paint in the Bleu France shade with two white stripes along the whole length of the car, for the nimbleness of its light body and for the tuning by Amédée Gordini. It became an icon of French motorsport and a favorite machine of beginning racers.
Glue the parts with a liquid cement for plastic; treat the small body thoroughly with a primer and spray it with an airbrush. Finish the blue striped scheme with the decals on a gloss coat. The detailed engine will benefit from shading and drybrushing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
