Revell 1:24 Schlingmann TLF 16/25 fire engine is an injection-molded plastic kit of a German water tender with a large water tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from Revell in 1:24 scale captures the German Schlingmann TLF 16/25 water tender built on a Mercedes-Benz chassis. It is a more demanding kit with a large number of parts and a richly subdivided body. According to the manufacturer, the equipment lockers and the cab with its crew and breathing apparatus can be rendered in detail; the package contains decals for several real versions. The model is intended for more experienced modelers.
The TLF 16/25 (Tanklöschfahrzeug) is a classic German water tender intended for a fast first response. The real vehicle carries a water tank of around 2500 liters and a powerful pump, which let it go into action even where no hydrant is immediately available. Schlingmann appliances are widespread equipment of German fire brigades and serve for firefighting as well as for technical assistance.
Use liquid cement on the plastic. Spray the typical fire-service red with an airbrush over a primer and bring it up with a gloss coat; apply the warning and reflective decals only onto the finished varnish. Paint and fit the interior equipment and the lockers before you close the body up, so that the detail shows.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
