The Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R with the body code KPGC10 is a two-door coupe from the turn of the 1960s and 1970s and among admirers of Japanese classics it belongs to the most sought-after cars of its time. Under the hood worked an inline six-cylinder engine of two liters with two camshafts in the head, thanks to which a successful circuit special came out of a civilian-looking coupe. The generation of the Skyline that the KPGC10 belongs to has taken hold among collectors under the nickname Hakosuka.
This is a plastic kit in 1:24 scale, that is in the size most widespread with car models, which leaves enough room for working out the interior and the chassis. The model is supplied as a set of parts to assemble and paint. In its designation it carries the epithet Rubber Sole GT-R.
Separate the parts with sharp side cutters a little way from the part and level the remaining projection with a fine file or a sanding sponge. Before painting, wash the body in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let it dry perfectly, so that the paint holds. Apply the paint in several thin layers, otherwise it will run into the edges and wipe the fine detail away. Leave the clear and metal-plated parts until the close of the build; they scratch easily and fingerprints come off them only with difficulty.
The kit will please modelers who already have experience of building cars, and collectors of Japanese cars from the turn of the 1960s and 1970s as well. Paints, glue and further building material are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
