A complete replacement of the interior for a model of the Nissan Silvia S13 in 1:24 scale. It changes the production cabin into the bare space of a racing special with a roll cage and a pedal box.
Responsibility details are not available.
This detail set for rebuilding the interior turns the production cabin of a coupe into the bare space of a racing or drift car. In place of upholstery, the bare floor pan with its pressed recesses remains, and with it go a roll cage, a sports shift lever, a handbrake, a racing pedal box, a steering wheel with its column and door pulls. The parts are made by 3D printing from resin and replace the original plastic components of the kit.
The third-generation Silvia, factory designation S13, was built from 1988 and quickly found its way onto circuits and drift tracks alike. A light rear-wheel-drive car with a turbocharged four-cylinder could easily be lightened: out went the rear seats, the carpets and the trim, and in came a welded cage. This state of the car is iconic for enthusiasts of the Japanese scene and on a model it is recognizable at first glance, because the uncovered floor is clearly visible through the glazing.
First wash the components in lukewarm water with detergent, so that residues of mold release agent disappear. Cut the casting remains off with a saw or a cutter and sand wet with respiratory protection. The joints are held by cyanoacrylate glue, and the gel filling variant will forgive small inaccuracies. It pays to spray the floor in a metallic shade and only then to add traces of welds and repairs.
The parts are unpainted and without glue; acquire the paints and the cyanoacrylate glue separately.
