The Toyota Hiace TRH200V in 1:24 scale is a plastic kit of a Japanese police vehicle of 2007, which can be built either as a vehicle for dealing with traffic accidents or as a vehicle for road checks.

An injection-molded plastic kit of the Toyota Hiace van with the type designation TRH200V in the service version of the Japanese police, model year 2007. The kit was issued by the Japanese company Aoshima in the The Patrol Car range. According to the manufacturer the model can be built in two equipment variants: as a vehicle for dealing with traffic accidents, or as a vehicle for road checks. Included are new decals, painting masks for dividing the colors of the body, wheels in the police version, masking stickers for the window surrounds and aluminum license plates.
The Hiace of the 200-series generation has been built since 2004 and in Japan serves not only as a van and a minibus but also as a service vehicle for a number of services. The designation TRH200V belongs to the shorter version with a gasoline four-cylinder. The police version for dealing with traffic accidents carries equipment for documenting the scene of an accident, lighting for the working area and information panels for traffic control, and the version for road checks serves at temporary checkpoints. Both are finished in the characteristic black and white Japanese police scheme.
The two-tone body is the most demanding part of the build. Spray the lighter shade first, let it cure thoroughly and only then mask according to the enclosed masks. The extensive flat surfaces of a van will show every unevenness, so filler primer, wet sanding and thin coats from an airbrush pay off. Glue the light bars and the clear parts with cement for clear plastic or with cyanoacrylate glue, so that they do not fog. Lay the decals on a gloss surface, otherwise silvery edges will stay under them.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
