Hasegawa 1:24 Toyota Starlet EP71 Si White Limited is a plastic kit of the three-door Japanese hatchback in a special series, in a winter guise.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit by the Japanese brand Hasegawa captures the small Toyota Starlet hatchback with the factory code EP71 in the Si trim and in the special White Limited series, in the three-door body version. The Ski Version suffix in the name refers to a winter guise for the car.
The EP71-generation Starlet was built from the middle of the 1980s and belonged to the line of small Japanese hatchbacks with a front engine and front-wheel drive. The car was built around a compact angular body offered in three-door and five-door forms and around engines of 1.3 liters, supercharged in the hottest versions. It was precisely the light body and the lively engine that made the Starlet of the day a popular car with young drivers and a basis for sporting modifications. The Si designation belongs to the fuel-injected form, and White Limited to a special series.
White bodies are harder to paint than they look: they cover slowly and the color of the plastic shows through them. Use a white or light gray filler primer, therefore, and spray several thin coats. Set the black window frames and trim apart with a semi-matte paint, so that they separate from the glossy body. Glue the small parts of the winter theme on last, when the body is finished and there is no risk of breaking them off while handling. The wheels come out well when the rim is sprayed with a metallic paint and the tire stays matte.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
