Responsibility details are not available.
The Mach 5 is a racing car from a Japanese animated series that became famous around the world under the name Speed Racer. It is not a real automobile but one of the best-known film and television bodies of all: a white car with a long pointed nose, an open cockpit and a large letter M on the hood. It was precisely that silhouette that made it a collector's classic, recognized even by a viewer who has never seen the series.
It is a plastic kit in 1:25 scale, that is in the size usual for models of passenger and racing cars. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, so the finished piece is the result of your own work. The extent of the parts, the decals and any figures differs between individual releases, so go by the contents given by the manufacturer in the instructions.
Before gluing, rid the parts of surplus material and sand the marks left by manufacturing with fine sandpaper, so that they do not show on the glossy white body. Use cement intended for plastic models and apply it sparingly, because a surplus will attack the surface. It is advisable to spray the body in thin coats and to smooth the surface beforehand, as a uniform light color reveals every imperfection. Glue the glazing and the chrome fittings on at the very end.
The set will please fans of the series as well as collectors of film and television cars who want to complete a cabinet with a piece that has an instantly recognizable silhouette. Unless stated otherwise, paints, glue and tools are not included in the package.
