A plastic kit of the light business jet Beechjet 400XPR, also known as the Hawker 400XPR, in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian brand Amodel. It is a type that appears only rarely among model kits, so it is a welcome addition to a collection of civilian aircraft. The model captures the characteristic silhouette with a slender fuselage, a low-set wing with tip devices and engines on the sides of the rear fuselage.
The designation 400XPR belongs to an upgrade program for the older light business jets of the Beechjet 400 and Hawker 400XP series. The package brought new Williams International FJ44 series engines and composite winglets. The combination of the two markedly increased the range, improved the climb and the performance from short and high-altitude airfields and at the same time reduced cabin noise and fuel consumption. The upgraded machine passed the mark of two thousand nautical miles of range and became an economically attractive alternative to buying a new aircraft.
With this brand it pays to count on more careful preparation of the parts, checking of the mating faces and possibly filling the seams - the result is then worth it. Mask the cockpit glazing and the cabin windows carefully, because the white gloss finish of a civilian aircraft forgives no overspray. Gloss is exactly what matters on a business jet: a smooth base, thin coats and a final gloss overcoat do most of the work. Fit the wingtip devices only after the painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
