Responsibility details are not available.
A dipping ink from Green Stuff World in a 60 ml package. The shade is pitched toward light nude skin, so it is aimed at faces, hands and all the exposed places on figures. It is applied generously over the whole area and the shape of the surface takes care of the rest.
The face of a figure has recesses the size of a pinhead - the corners of the eyes, the lines around the mouth, the space under the chin. Hitting them with a brush means working with a tense hand, and even then the shadow risks coming out ragged. A dipping ink turns the task around: the whole head is flooded and the ink slides down off the forehead, the cheeks and the nose by itself, gathering below. That is where the layer is most saturated, so the shadow follows the real shape and the transitions stay soft. A wash would have to be carried into each of those lines separately; here a single pass is enough.
For figure painters working in small scales, where shading by hand runs up against the size of the detail, and for anyone who wants the base of the skin finished quickly and to move straight on to refining the highlights.
Keep out of the reach of children, work in a ventilated area and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
