A dipping ink in an icy blue register, that is at the lighter and very cold end of the blue family. It is applied generously, runs into the recesses and engraved lines by itself and darkens the shadow there, while the raised places stay light. The volume of the bottle is 17 ml.

A cold that keeps an area light

Icy blue has a different task from saturated blue tones. Over a white and light gray area it does not change the color to a pronounced blue, but gives it a cold cast while still leaving the surface light. That is exactly why it suits ice and snow subjects, translucent crystals or pale cold fabrics. Over a light blue base it deepens the shadow and keeps the whole in one family. Over a bone or gray white area the impression of a cold, frosty surface arises. Over a saturated dark color the cold character is no longer noticeable and mainly the drawing of the shadow remains.

Use

• Stir the contents of the bottle before applying.
• Apply generously, so that the paint runs into the recesses and grooves.
• Leave the light peaks clear, the contrast makes the impression of ice.
• Build up the cold by dipping again.
• Try the tone in a hidden place.
