Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:25 scale from the American label MPC captures the Pontiac GTO of the 1967 model year. The Weekend Warrior release is conceived as three options in one package: the car can be built in street form, as a weekend racer and equally as a drag special. According to the manufacturer the package offers a supercharged engine, a racing hood, rear drive tires for the straight and chrome parts for that, so you make the choice once you know how you want to build the model.
The Pontiac GTO of 1967 belongs to the second generation of the car, that is to 1966 and 1967, when it had its typical drawn-out body shape with vertical tail lights. For 1967 in particular the GTO received a larger V8 that replaced the previous unit, and more powerful variants filled out the range. Today the model is taken as one of the symbols of the American muscle car era, when a large-displacement engine moved into a mid-size body and the result was cars usable on the street and on the quarter mile alike.
Decide on one of the three versions before you start painting, because they differ in the hood and in the chassis fittings. Prepare the body for gloss carefully; the American paintwork of the seventies is recognizable at scale by its depth. Fit out the engine bay before closing up the body. Degrease the rear drive tires before fitting and sand the traces of the parting line down gently, so that they keep a round profile.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
