A resin cockpit set for a model of the American Convair F-102A Delta Dagger interceptor in 1:72 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but a detail set that replaces the basic kit interior with a faithful cockpit tub, instrument panel, side consoles and ejection seat. Aires sets usually also come with photo-etched parts for the finest details. The set is made by Aires.
The Convair F-102A Delta Dagger was an American supersonic interceptor with a distinctive delta wing, deployed during the Cold War for air defense. An open cockpit with a faithful interior lifts the overall impression of the model considerably.
Wash the castings free of mold release agent in lukewarm water with detergent and separate them carefully from the casting blocks; the fit into the fuselage often has to be adjusted. Glue the resin with cyanoacrylate (superglue), and fold the photo-etched parts and glue them with cyanoacrylate as well. Paint the interior with an airbrush and bring out the details with a wash and a dry brush.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The aircraft model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
