Eduard 1:72 Bell P-39 / P-400 is a set of painting masks for the glazing and wheels of models of the Bell P-39 Airacobra fighter and the export P-400 in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely shaped painting masks from Eduard for models of the American Bell P-39 Airacobra fighter and its export version, the P-400, in 1:72 scale. The masks are cut from kabuki tape and serve to paint the canopy frames and the other clear parts cleanly, usually including the wheel hubs. They give sharp edges with no paint creeping underneath.
This is not an aircraft kit but an aid for painting. The characteristic car-type cockpit doors of the Airacobra have busy frames that are laborious to mask by hand; pre-shaped masks make the job markedly faster and more precise. The set is intended for P-39 and P-400 models in this scale.
Degrease the glazing, move the masks with tweezers and press them carefully against the edges. Apply the paint in thin coats so that it does not creep under the edge; once dry, lift the masks off carefully. With more complex frames it helps to cut the mask into smaller pieces.
The set is an accessory to a kit; the model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
