A detailed add-on cockpit set for the General Dynamics F-16C Fighting Falcon fighter in the Block 30 version, in 1:48 scale. The set is made by direct 3D printing in resin and replaces the original plastic cockpit with a richly detailed assembly: the cockpit tub, the instrument panel, the side consoles and the ejection seat. It is not a model of the aircraft in its own right but an upgrade meant to raise the realism of your kit.
The aim is to improve the cockpit area, which is the most visible part of the finished model. 3D printing allows fine detail beyond the reach of injection-molded plastic: raised instruments, levers and the fine texture of the seat. The set usually comes with decals and photo-etched parts for the belts and the instrument panels.
First wash the print resin residue off the parts and separate them carefully from the print supports. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and do the sanding with respiratory protection. The F-16 cockpit is painted mostly dark gray; lift the details with a dry brush and a fine wash.
An add-on set in resin. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
