This Top Studio set contains small resin parts with which hoses on a model are terminated and connected. The figure of 1.2 mm in the name is the dimension of the part, not the scale of the model; what decides is the diameter of the hose you are routing on the model. The medium size is a universal choice for routing on models of motorcycles in the usual scales, and the range offers a smaller and a larger variant as well.
A hose on a real machine always ends in a fitting, a joint or a clamp; a plastic kit usually does not address this transition at all. A joint slipped onto modeling hose creates a convincing termination of brake, fuel or coolant routing and makes it possible to divide the routing or change its direction. On motorcycles these details are clearly visible, because the routing lies in the exposed part of the machine between the frame and the fairing.
Choose a hose of the matching diameter; according to the configuration it may be necessary to widen the hole in the joint carefully with a micro drill bit in a hand drill. Apply the glue with the tip of a toothpick, as a drop straight from the bottle would flood the part. Before painting, degrease the surface and use a base color, as otherwise resin holds the paint less well. Finished joints come to life with metallic shades or with paints imitating anodized aluminum.
