The designation P-40 here belongs to a ground vehicle, not to the fighter aircraft of the same name. Both designations appear in the name together because the same type of track suits them, so one set covers both models.
Fit the tracks only once the running gear is finished and the drive sprocket and the idler wheel sit firmly in line. The spacing of the rollers will then no longer change and the track will seat without strain. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder so that the mating surfaces meet. The material of the parts and the recommended glue are given in the manufacturer's instructions, so follow them. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, because paint does not hold on a greasy surface.
Apply a dark base, highlight the upper faces of the links once it has dried and finally add dust or mud to match the setting you place the model in. Leave the shine only on the mating surfaces and on the sides of the guide horns; the rest of the track stays matte. Add the weathering layers gradually and thinly, otherwise the relief of the links is lost.
The set is for modelers who want to replace the kit tracks on both vehicles. Paints, glue and other building materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
