MiG-29A Fulcrum ADVANCED kabuki masks 1:48 (New Ware)

A set of laser-cut kabuki masks from the Czech manufacturer New Ware in 1:48 scale at the ADVANCED level. It is intended for models of the Soviet and Russian MiG-29A fighter (NATO reporting name Fulcrum). The fine kabuki tape follows the shape of the parts exactly, holds well and leaves no marks when peeled off.

The real subject

The MiG-29 is a twin-engine fourth-generation fighter developed at the end of the 1970s as a counterpart to Western machines. It is marked by high agility and a characteristic silhouette with two vertical tail surfaces. The A version is one of the basic single-seat variants.

Use

• The ADVANCED level covers the inner and outer masking of the canopy glazing, the color of the sealing frames and masks for the wheels.
• The masks give sharp transitions between the color of the frames and the glazed area.
• They are applied to clean, degreased parts, and the edges are pressed down with a blunt tool for a perfect seal.
• The paint is sprayed in thin coats so that it does not creep under the mask.
