This photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:32 scale serves for a detailed rendering of the landing flaps of the A-4F Skyhawk jet attack aircraft. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a kit. The metal parts make it possible to show the flaps in the lowered position together with the faithful inner structure.
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk was an American light single-engine jet attack aircraft, popular for its compact design, its agility and its service from the decks of aircraft carriers. The A-4F version was among the updated variants. In the large 1:32 scale a wing rendered in detail with the flaps lowered gives a model a realistic look.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade and make the bends in a bending tool. Glue the metal with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and coat it with a primer for metal before painting. Match the flaps to the shades of the wing surfaces and try the assembly dry beforehand.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
