The resin accessory float water rudders for the Arado Ar 196 from the Czech brand Quickboost in 1:32 scale — a part, not a model kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin accessory from Quickboost in 1:32 scale offers finely made float water rudders for a model of the German Arado Ar 196 floatplane. It is not an airplane kit, but a set of small replacement parts that swap the thicker and less faithful rudders from the plastic kit for thin, crisply cast resin components.
The Arado Ar 196 was a German catapult-launched reconnaissance seaplane of the Second World War that took off from the water and from the decks of large warships. It carried a pair of large floats with small water rudders at their rear, by which the aircraft was steered while taxiing on the water. The thin castings match the real thickness and shape of those rudders better.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water because of the mold release agent. Cut the casting block off with a saw or a cutter, sand the surface and protect your breathing when sanding resin. Glue the thin parts with a light touch of cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting so that the color holds on the smooth resin.
It is supplied as a resin accessory for experienced modelers, not as a stand-alone kit. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
