A detailed resin cockpit set in 1:32 scale from the Czech manufacturer Aires. It replaces the cockpit of a base kit with a faithfully cast cabin of the AV-8B Harrier II attack aircraft. It contains finely detailed resin parts, usually complemented by photo-etched elements and an instrument film. This is an accessory for advanced modelers, not a stand-alone aircraft model.
The AV-8B Harrier II was an American vertical or short take-off attack aircraft (STOVL) used above all by the US Marine Corps. Its agility in the air was provided by the Rolls-Royce Pegasus engine with vectored thrust directed through four nozzles. The machine served for close air support of ground units and for attacks from improvised strips as well as decks.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply primer before painting and bring out the instrument panel and the side panels with a wash and a dry brush. Check the precise seating in the particular kit in 1:32 scale.
