A set of painting templates for spraying a model of the British Avro Lancaster B Mk.I heavy bomber in 1:32 scale. The templates are laid on the model before the paint is applied.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Avro Lancaster is among the best-known British heavy bombers of the Second World War and was used above all for night raids. The B Mk.I version was powered by four Merlin engines. It is notable for its long uninterrupted bomb bay, thanks to which it could carry even a very large load, and for its twin vertical tail. In 1:32 scale it is a large model on which every inaccuracy in a color transition shows at first glance.
The set contains painting templates for painting with an airbrush. The templates define the areas that are to stay free of paint, so the transition comes out crisp and with no seepage. Check the extent of the set and the kit it is intended for against the manufacturer's information.
Apply the masks to a clean and degreased surface before you start spraying and press the edges down firmly, otherwise the paint flows under them. Lay the paint on in thin coats; a heavy coat creates a step at the edge of the mask that is visible once it is lifted. Lift the mask off as soon as the paint has set, not once it has cured fully, when the film of paint tears at the edge. With small pieces, help yourself with the tip of a pair of tweezers and a pull at a low angle, so that the varnish under the mask is not lifted.
The model, the paints, the thinner and the airbrush are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
