Eduard 1:32 B-17G waist section is a photo-etched set for refining the waist gun positions of a B-17G Flying Fortress bomber model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:32 scale. It contains parts for refining the waist section of the Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress heavy bomber, that is the area of the side machine gun positions. It is not an aircraft model, but an accessory that greatly enlivens the internal fittings of the fuselage.
The Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress was an American four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War and a key aircraft of the daylight strategic bombing campaign over Europe. The waist section in the rear fuselage consisted of two opposed machine gun positions, which on large 1:32 models offer rich detailing.
The etched parts are separated from the fret, shaped with tweezers and bonded with super glue. The fittings are built up before the fuselage halves are joined, so that they remain accessible. Careful painting and restrained weathering are recommended for a three-dimensional look.
This is a photo-etched accessory for refining a model, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
