A more extensive accessory set in 1:72 scale for models of the B-52G Stratofortress strategic bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory set in 1:72 scale for models of the B-52G Stratofortress. According to the name it belongs among the more extensive packages, that is among the sets that reach into a build further than a single small item. On an aircraft this large that shows: a B-52 model takes up a lot of room in a display case and a viewer notices the detail on it from a greater distance than on a fighter.
The Boeing B-52 Stratofortress is an American heavy strategic bomber with a swept wing and eight engines hung under the wing in four paired nacelles. Its landing gear is arranged in tandem under the fuselage and supplemented by outrigger wheels near the wingtips. The B-52G version can be told from the older machines by a markedly lower vertical tail, and its defensive tail turret was operated remotely from the forward cabin. The type stayed in service for an unusually long time and became one of the best-known aircraft of the Cold War.
Dry-fit the parts first and only then work on the kit. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and carefully sand off the rest. Use super glue for the joints; ordinary cement for polystyrene may not hold reliably. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will hold poorly. On the large surfaces of the bomber it is worth applying the paint in thin coats so that the molded detail is not lost.
For modelers who build the B-52G in 1:72 scale and want to detail the model up more markedly. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
