The real subject

The AH-1G was the first production version of the Bell AH-1 family, the first helicopter designed from the outset as a narrow attack machine. It takes over the dynamic components of the UH-1 helicopter, but its fuselage is entirely new: barely a meter wide, with a tandem cockpit in which the gunner sits in front of and lower than the pilot. The short stub wings carry the pylons and at the same time unload the main rotor in flight. The unit named in the set title is information about the markings and the finish of particular machines, nothing more.

How to apply the decals

Coat the area where the decal will go with gloss varnish; on a matte surface the film goes cloudy. Cut the motif out close to the edge of the print, soak it in warm water and let it rest until it releases from the backing paper. Set it in place, blot the excess water away and apply a decal softener so that the decal pulls down into the engraved lines and over raised detail. Varnish over it once dry so that the edge of the film disappears, and even the whole surface out with a matte or semi-gloss varnish, depending on the look you want.
