1:32 Bf-109F-2 SPACE are three-dimensional relief decals for equipping the cockpit of the Friedrich in a large scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The SPACE range is built on printed decals with real thickness: dials, placards and switches stand out above the surface and cast their own shadow in side light. In a large scale this difference from a flat decal shows immediately, because you can look into the cockpit of a Friedrich almost as into a real one.
The F version meant an aerodynamic clean-up of the whole airframe: rounded wingtips, a deeper engine cowling, the tailplane bracing struts deleted and the radiators recessed into the wing. The Bf 109F-2 received a 15 mm cannon on the propeller axis and the wing was left without armament, so the aircraft kept a clean silhouette and the outstanding agility that pilots praised more than on the later Gustavs.
Level the surface first and degrease it with alcohol, because the relief only holds on a smooth, dry surface. Moisten only the backing paper, transfer the elements one by one with tweezers into a drop of white PVA glue and press them down with a soft cotton swab. Softeners meant for classic decals have no place here at all; the chemicals attack the printed resin and ruin the element. The finished cockpit can be misted lightly with a matte varnish to even out the sheen.
The set completes the inside of a plastic kit; the Friedrich itself is not part of the contents.
