The set contains resin wheels and masking film for the German Messerschmitt Bf 109F fighter aircraft in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory that replaces the wheels of a base kit with more faithful resin parts and adds masks for clean spraying. The wheels tend to be cast with a realistic tire tread pattern; the masking film makes painting and transitions easier. The manufacturer is the Czech company Aires.
The Bf 109F, known as the Friedrich, was an aerodynamically improved version of the famous Luftwaffe fighter with cleaner lines than the older variants. The wheels and their detail are among the clearly visible elements of the landing gear on models in 1:32 scale.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin wheels and separate them from the casting blocks. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay the masking film precisely on the designated places, spray the paint and take the mask off once it has set. Set the tires apart from the hubs and add a fine patina with pigments.
