Quinta Studio 1:32 Bf 109G-2/4, a 3D interior decal, is a color 3D-printed set of cockpit detail on backing decal paper for models of the Bf 109G-2/4 fighter; the parts are not self-adhesive and are applied by soaking in water.
Responsibility details are not available.
This product is not an aircraft model but an accessory for superdetailing the cockpit. It contains color 3D-printed interior detail on backing decal paper, reproducing the instrument panel, the side panels and other features of the crew compartment in relief and in faithful color. It is neither conventional etch nor cast resin; the interior thus takes on a realistic look without lengthy painting. The set follows the cockpit of the Revell Bf 109G-2/4 kit.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G, nicknamed the Gustav, was one of the most widespread German fighters of the Second World War. The early G-2 and G-4 versions were powered by the DB 605 engine and formed the backbone of the fighter units in 1942 and 1943. In the large 1:32 scale the cramped but detailed cockpit stands out.
The part is cut out of the sheet, soaked in lukewarm water for about 15 seconds and slid off the backing paper onto the plastic part. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on a layer of gloss clear coat (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22); on complex areas a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin. Work with a sharp knife, tweezers and a degreased surface.
This is an accessory for a plastic model. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
