This set from Eduard is an accessory, not a model. It contains a complete set of replacement landing gear wheels for the Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4 in 1:32 scale, made from resin and 3D printing. The wheels are intended for the Bf 109K-4 kit from Kotare and directly replace the plastic parts from the original package. You therefore need to own the base model to build it — the set alone does not make an aircraft.
Injection-molded plastic has its limits with wheels: the tire tread tends to be soft, and the tire is a perfect circle, as if the aircraft had no weight of its own. Resin and 3D-printed wheels remove this weakness. The casting carries a sharply defined tread pattern and is made with a flat spot where the tire meets the ground, so the model looks naturally weighted once it is set on its landing gear. The rim and hub detail is noticeably finer thanks to printing than what injection molding can achieve. The set also includes masking templates that make it easy to keep the tire and rim colors cleanly separated.
This is an accessory for modelers, not a stand-alone kit. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
