Quickboost porcupine exhausts II for the Bristol Beaufighter in 1:32 scale. A resin replacement for the exhaust stubs from Aires, for more faithful detail on the engines.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail accessory from the Quickboost brand by Aires in 1:32 scale. The set replaces the exhaust stubs on the engines, which were nicknamed porcupine for the way they were arranged. It is not a model of the aircraft but an aftermarket part that raises the fidelity of the powerplants. The designation II sets this variant apart from another version of the exhausts in the same line.
The Bristol Beaufighter was a British twin-engine heavy fighter and attack aircraft of the Second World War, also used as a night fighter. It was powered by radial engines, and its radially arranged exhausts were one of its characteristic features.
Wash the stubs, cut them off the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. Drilling out the mouths of the exhausts and shading them lightly will raise the realistic impression.
