This set from the maker Art Scale contains kabuki masks meant for spraying the insignia and markings of a model of the Curtiss Hawk 81-A2 fighter in 1:32 scale. The Hawk 81-A2 was the export version of the P-40 made famous by the American Volunteer Group AVG, the Flying Tigers, operating over China and Burma at the beginning of the Second World War. The masks make it possible to spray the markings and insignia, which looks more faithful and has none of the glossy edge of decals. The maker cut them for the GWH kit.
It will be appreciated by modelers who prefer sprayed markings to decals and want to achieve the most realistic and flat surface look possible. The set suits more advanced builders used to masking.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit, not the model itself. Paints and the kit are not included in the package.
