An aftermarket detail set from the manufacturer MASTER, not an airplane kit. It contains turned brass barrels for the Browning .30 cal wing machine guns and the American pitot tube for a model of the Curtiss P-40B/C Tomahawk (US configuration) in 1:32 scale. The metal parts replace the plastic barrels and the easily broken plastic pitot tube from the original kit.
Turned brass holds the correct muzzle diameter and the sharp edges that plastic cannot manage. A brass pitot tube also stands up to bending and handling far better than a plastic part. The set is tied to the US version of the P-40B/C with .30 cal machine guns in the wings.
Cut off the plastic barrel and the pitot tube, drill a hole in the remaining parts and glue the brass parts in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The parts can be deburred and degreased before gluing. The work suits advanced modelers; brass takes a primer and paint well.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
